Living Stone Building Company

We are working with Amy and Sean and the Livingstone team on several major renovation projects on our 1970s split level home in Raleigh. As we’ve expanded the scope of the project, Living Stone has been A+ across the board. Amy, Sean, Gray, Makayla and Peyton have been communicative, kind, and competent throughout. We always feel like we are in the know about possible complications. If Amy says someone is going to arrive at 9:00am, they are knocking on the door at 8:55. All team members and laborers have been friendly and kind, and do their best to leave the house in good/clean condition as they do their work (we are living in the house during the renovations). In short, they have been worth every penny and we would happily do it again.

We had the absolute best experience renovating our kitchen with Living Stone Builders. From our first meeting, Amy was super straightforward and honest about the process, including budget and expected timeline. I wanted to be able to purchase a lot of items myself for the renovation to save some money and Living Stone was really great about that. We also made a few changes to the plan during our renovation, like deciding to redo the flooring in our entire downstairs at the last minute, and they were super accommodating and flexible. Gray helped with all of the design decisions and made great suggestions for paint colors, counters, the counter edges, and all the little details. When I picked out counters that were over budget, Gray suggested a less expensive option that was perfect. She really held my hand through a lot of the decision making and allowed me as much freedom as I wanted in purchasing things (like lighting, tile, sink, etc), but also made the decisions for me on things like windows when I didn't care as much to do them on my own. It was exactly the amount of help I wanted and needed. Amanda, from 3C cabinet company was also really easy to work with and helped me design a layout that functions so much better than my old kitchen. Woody was our project manager and he was a dream. We lived through our renovation (with young kids) and Woody made sure things were done as quickly as possible and left in a way that allowed us to keep living in our home. All of the contracted companies were so wonderful and treated us so well. When there was a hiccup (like when our HVAC line ran right through where I wanted to add a window), Woody explained the problem, all the options, and how much each would cost right away and made it easy to make a quick decision. We also had access to the job calendar that told us who would be showing up to the house each day, which was really nice. Multiple workers told us that ours was one of the most efficient renovations they had seen in a long time. Living Stone was recommended to us by one of my husband's colleagues and I am so thankful we found them. Any major renovation is stressful, especially when you are living through it, but Living Stone made the process as seamless as possible. Amy, Sean, Gray and the whole team at Living Stone were amazing to work with! Their craftsmanship and attention to detail was unmatched. They renovated two bathrooms, a foyer, removed walls, built a new kitchen. We lived in the house during the remodel - they were on time each day and cleaned up every evening. Our project finished right on schedule. They were excellent communicators and were creative in solving challenges with an older home. They are truly incredible and have become dear friends through the process. I've recommended them to several neighbors and friends who have also been pleased with their great work.

A little over two years ago we hired Living Stone to do a complete remodel of our kitchen/sun room/keeping area and two downstairs bathrooms as well as some other work in the rest of the downstairs. I can’t tell you how pleased we were with Amy and her team. They were outstanding to work with. The project took about4 months and was exactly on time, even with the challenges of the supply chain issues as we came out of COVID.
