Right Step Flooring

My original floors were a builder-grade vinyl plank with an HDF core — the kind that looks decent at first but doesn't hold up well to moisture. When water got underneath, several planks delaminated and the damage extended from the kitchen through the living area. I decided it was time to upgrade rather than patch.

Lucas came out, measured precisely, and walked me through my options. He was knowledgeable, patient, and straightforward — no upselling, just honest guidance. I went with Pergo Extreme Originals in Montford, a warm medium-brown SPC-core plank with a 22-mil wear layer and WetProtect surface protection. A significant upgrade over what the builder installed.

What set Right Step apart was the fully turnkey experience. Lucas handled everything: supplying all materials, removing and hauling the existing flooring, installing Whisper Step underlayment, laying the new floor, and finishing with white primed quarter round and paint. I didn't have to coordinate multiple contractors, source materials separately, or chase down loose ends. One point of contact, one company accountable for the entire project.

Daniel was fantastic, he communicated with us each morning, informing us what time the installation crew would arrive. He also, came to our home several times during the installation to view the progress first hand, and ensure we were happy with everything. The installers were also great, they worked non-stop, addressed all of our questions. They were also very good at cleaning up their work site each evening after their day was complete.
